VoltH2 begins third hydrogen project in Delfzijl
After announcing two hydrogen plants in Zeeland – in Vlissingen and in Terneuzen – our WIC-member VoltH2 is now also coming forward with plans for a 50 MW electrolyzer in Delfzijl. The company has reached an agreement with Groningen Seaports for the use of a three-hectare site.
The location is logistically very interesting, since it is close to a road with TeNNeT’s high-voltage substation on one side and a water treatment plant on the other that may eventually take one of VoltH2’s residual products (like oxygen). Lastly, there are a lot of companies in and around the port with a large hydrogen requirement.
