Power-to-Hydrogen commissions its Industrial-scale AEM electrolysis at the Port of Antwerp-Bruges

Power to Hydrogen (P2H2) and the Port of Antwerp-Bruges are demonstrating the next generation of green hydrogen production through the deployment of the world’s first industrial-scale anion exchange membrane (AEM) electrolyser at the port’s NextGen Demonstration District. The half-megawatt system will produce renewable hydrogen for industrial operations and mobility applications while validating AEM electrolysis as a scalable, cost-effective technology for real-world industrial environments. Beyond supporting local hydrogen demand, the project positions the Port of Antwerp-Bruges as a leading innovation hub for clean energy and serves as a key milestone in accelerating the commercial adoption of advanced electrolysis technologies across Europe.

The commissioning of the Power-to-Hydrogen electrolyser will be officially marked during a live event on September 18 (10.00-12.00) in Antwerp.  WIC members can participate in this event onsite (cfr Events below, subscription mandatory (Luma invitationor follow the event through streaming (LinkedIn Live event)
