VoltH2 advances 25 MW green hydrogen project in Vlissingen

VoltH2 has secured an SDE++ subsidy from the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO), marking an important milestone towards the development of its 25 MW green hydrogen plant in Vlissingen-Oost within North Sea Port. The facility is expected to produce approximately 2,000 tonnes of renewable hydrogen annually through water electrolysis, replacing part of the region's existing fossil-based hydrogen demand. Strategically located between North Sea offshore wind farms and one of the Benelux's largest industrial hydrogen clusters, the project will support the decarbonisation of industry by reducing CO₂ emissions associated with grey hydrogen production. Following the subsidy award, VoltH2 is advancing the project towards a final investment decision, reinforcing North Sea Port's transition into a leading hub for renewable hydrogen production and industrial decarbonisation.
