Lhyfe and Messer strengthen renewable hydrogen partnership
Lhyfe and industrial gases company Messer have signed a long-term commercial, industrial, and financial partnership to accelerate the deployment of renewable hydrogen production in France and Germany. Under the agreement, Messer will acquire a 30% equity stake in four of Lhyfe’s hydrogen production sites and enter into a 10-year renewable hydrogen supply contract, providing long-term revenue certainty while supporting the commercial scale-up of the projects. Messer will also contribute its expertise in industrial gases, logistics, operations, and hydrogen distribution to enhance the performance and market uptake of the facilities. The partnership secures long-term access to renewable, including RFNBO-certified, hydrogen for Messer’s customers and represents Lhyfe’s first capital rotation, reinforcing the company's strategy to expand renewable hydrogen production through strategic industrial partnerships.
