Port of Antwerp-Bruges deepens India partnership to build green hydrogen trade corridors
Port of Antwerp-Bruges is strengthening its engagement with India to accelerate the development of future green energy corridors, with a strong focus on green hydrogen and green ammonia trade between India and Europe. Through a high-level roadshow across key Indian cities in January 2026, the port aims to deepen cooperation with energy and infrastructure stakeholders and position itself as a strategic gateway for India’s renewable molecule exports. Led by Tom Hautekiet, the port’s Chief Business Development & Transition Officer and Chairman of the Belgian Hydrogen Council, the mission highlights Antwerp-Bruges’ ambition to expand hydrogen infrastructure and support international supply chains for clean fuels.
This outreach aligns with the broader momentum highlighted during India Energy Week 2026, where Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized a “new chapter in global economic cooperation” and positioned the proposed India–EU Free Trade Agreement as a potential game changer for clean energy partnerships.
