Air Liquide Rolls Out Hydrogen-Powered Trucks in the Netherlands
Air Liquide has introduced its first hydrogen-powered heavy-duty trucks in the Netherlands, deploying two MAN hTGX vehicles equipped with hydrogen internal-combustion engines via its logistics partner Schenk Tank-transport in the greater Rotterdam region. The move replaces conventional diesel trucks in Air Liquide’s hydrogen-supply network, enabling fast refuelling and long-range performance while cutting operational CO₂ emissions. The initiative is supported by the Dutch government’s SWiM (Subsidie Waterstof in Mobiliteit) scheme, which funds both vehicle acquisition and hydrogen refuelling infrastructure to close the initial cost gap for hydrogen mobility.
