Air Products' breakthrough of Breakthrough
Air Products has successfully completed the first-ever bunkering of the world’s first fully hydrogen-powered superyacht, blessed with the fitting name ‘Breakthrough’. Built by Dutch shipbuilder Feadship, Breakthrough is the first vessel of its kind to operate using a 3,2 MW fuel cell system. Instead of combustion, the system generates electricity through electrochemical conversion, with only water as the emission. The first two successful liquid hydrogen deliveries have been completed.
