Tessenderlo Group
Tessenderlo Group is an international chemical group active in the fields of food (processing animal by-products), agriculture (crop nutrients), water management (plastic pipe systems, chemicals for water treatment) and industrial solutions (power chemicals). The Group has 4,500 employees worldwide who work in more than hundred branches with significant representation in the Tessenderlo area. Just across the border, south of Lille, is the Produits Chimiques de Loos site where iron chloride is produced. The site houses a 12MW chlor-alkali electrolysis plant that releases a significant amount of residual hydrogen. Tessenderlo Group is investigating sustainable marketing of (part of) this residual hydrogen.
