WIC members launch two new hydrogen Moonshot projects
Six new Moonshot projects have been approved in 2023 and will start researching technologies, processes and products that will help Flemish companies become more sustainable and will contribute to reduce CO2 emissions by 2050. Flanders has earmarked more than €14 million to fund the projects. Two of the projects work on hydrogen:
- AlterPEM: Project by imec, KUL, UGent that researches an alternative for PEM technology with non-fluorinated, integrated membranes
- CAMELEON: Project by Ugent that researches electrified catalytic non-oxidative methane coupling for separated hydrogen and ethylene production
