Port Oostende

Port Oostende is an industrial port where there is space for the development of green hydrogen applications. The port can play an important role in the storage and production of green hydrogen, extracted from, among others, energy from offshore wind turbines. The specialised heavy load quay REBO, with direct access to the open sea, is the ideal base for the construction, maintenance and dismantling of offshore structures.

Port Oostende focuses on continuity, growth and employment within five maritime niche markets: Blue Economy, Bulk & Project Cargo, Cruises & Roll-on roll-off, Circular Industry and the Fishing Sector. These sectors are further developed on the basis of two foundations: prioritising safety, health and the environment and, secondly, supporting innovation and development.
