The Netherlands boosts hydrogen mobility with €22 million subsidy for 300+ vehicles and 4 new stations
Thanks to a new round of subsidies via the SWIM scheme, eight consortiums will deploy 4 new hydrogen fueling stations (in Meerkerk, Steenwijk, Hattemerbroek, Woerden) and expand existing ones in four municipalities, while also supporting the acquisition of over 300 hydrogen-powered vehicles, mostly heavy trucks and some buses. The SWIM program furthers the Dutch goal of ensuring each urban hub has a hydrogen station by 2030, emphasizing hydrogen’s advantages in high-load transport (fast refueling, less strain on the electric grid).
