Plans for a floating hydrogen import terminal in Germany

The Norwegian company Höegh LNG has signed an agreement with the German ReGas to realize the ‘H2-import-Terminal Lubmin’.  The terminal will be a floating green ammonia cracker that produces around 30ktons of hydrogen per year, to be injected into the German hydrogen ‘core’ network via the existing feed-in point in the port of Lubmin, in the North-East of Germany.

The green ammonia cracker technology embedded into the barge solution has been developed by Höegh LNG.
