The International Energy Agency (IEA) has released the 2025 edition of its annual Global Hydrogen Review, tracking worldwide developments in the hydrogen sector. Special focus this year goes to the rapid progress in emerging low-emissions hydrogen technologies.

One encouraging conclusion: global hydrogen demand reached almost 100 million tons in 2024, up 2% compared to 2023 and broadly in line with overall energy demand growth.
