New European H2-stations platform launched to strengthen hydrogen mobility
The Clean Hydrogen Partnership has officially launched the new H2-Stations platform, a European initiative designed to strengthen the deployment and reliability of hydrogen refuelling infrastructure across Europe. The platform provides free and open access to harmonised, real-time information on hydrogen refuelling stations, including station locations, operational status and standardised data aligned with the EU’s Alternative Fuels Infrastructure Regulation (AFIR). Building on the former European Hydrogen Refuelling Stations Availability System, the upgraded platform introduces enhanced dashboards, APIs and monitoring tools aimed at supporting station operators, public authorities, mobility providers and hydrogen users. By improving transparency, interoperability and data quality across the European hydrogen mobility ecosystem, H2-Stations is expected to play an important role in the rollout of hydrogen-powered transport and reinforcing Europe’s broader hydrogen strategy. The initiative is led by the Clean Hydrogen Partnership in collaboration with Spilett New Technologies, ERM and EMCEL, further underlining the EU’s commitment to building a robust and connected hydrogen infrastructure network across Europe.
