New Dutch standard for Process safety for the production of hydrogen by electrolysis for industrial use

At a time when electrolyser systems are becoming larger, more complex and more widely applicable, the responsibility of technology suppliers, licensing authorities and, above all, users regarding safety is growing. The new Dutch NTA for the safe application of electrolysis offers them a clear guideline.

This Dutch Technical Agreement NTA 8221 summarizes current knowledge and practical experience in the sector and transforms this into concrete guidelines, requirements and recommendations. 

This NTA was initiated by the Dutch Institute for Sustainable Process Technology (ISPT) and its partners, and was developed in collaboration with other parties in the NTA 8221 working group.
