Hydrogen Valleys Days highlight WaterstofNet’s role in Europe’s hydrogen transition

The Hydrogen Valleys Days 2026 during the first week of May in Antwerp highlighted the growing importance of regional hydrogen ecosystems in Europe’s clean energy transition, with WaterstofNet playing a central role in connecting stakeholders across Flanders and the Netherlands. Organised by the Clean Hydrogen Partnership, and hosted at the Port of Antwerp-Bruges, the event brought together policymakers, industry leaders, project developers and investors to showcase how Hydrogen Valleys are moving from pilot projects to large-scale deployment and industrial integration across Europe. Antwerp’s role as host city further reinforced the strategic position of the region as an emerging European hydrogen hub and underlined the importance of cross-border collaboration in scaling up Europe’s hydrogen economy.
"H₂ Valley Days Antwerp 2026 shows how hydrogen ambitions are becoming real collaboration. Building on WaterstofNet’s strong experience in hydrogen projects and partnerships across industry, governments, and Europe, we are proud to support the CHP H₂ Valley concept. With FLHYports Valley ready to start and VALHYCON connecting the dots between valleys, we are taking the next step towards a truly connected European hydrogen ecosystem," stated Bert De Colvenaer, CEO at WaterstofNet.
