Hydro Team KULeuven looks for industrial partners

The Hydro Team KU Leuven is a student team of more than 80 students focused on innovation and research of hydrogen technology and raising awareness about the potential of hydrogen among the general public. They also aim to bring students closer to industry by giving them practical skills and in-depth knowledge of hydrogen technology.

As part of their mission, they are developing a hydrogen-powered racing car, which serves as a kind of mobile laboratory. They test and improve new technologies, and show the world what hydrogen technology can mean for the future of mobility. The ultimate goal is to participate in the Le Mans 24 Hours by 2030.

At the same time, they are building a knowledge centre around hydrogen technology, promoting open innovation and bridging the gap between academia and industry.

Besides the racing project, they organise a unique STEM programme for secondary schools. Students build a hydrogen-powered RC car and receive a comprehensive curriculum on the climate problem, carbon reduction and hydrogen technology. This project is designed to inspire young people and give them practical technical knowledge.

Their call for support:

The team wants to offer the STEM project completely free of charge to participating schools so that no student is excluded due to financial barriers.

To make this happen, they are looking for companies willing to help us make this educational experience possible.

They would like to invite you to discuss the possibilities together and become part of this unique project.
