Green hydrogen has important place in Belgian economic mission to Australia
Last week, an official Belgian delegation travelled to Australia for an economic mission. WaterstofNet was represented by CSO Adwin Martens as hydrogen had an important place on the agenda of the official visit.
Flemish Minister Mathias Diependaele signed an MoU with the New South Wales region on behalf of the Flemish government in which cooperation around green hydrogen plays an important role.
During the economic mission, UHasselt, together with IMEC, signed a partnership with the Australian University of New South Wales to produce hydrogen based on green energy. The research groups will collaborate intensively over the next few years on the production of green hydrogen using solar energy and on CO2 capture and reuse.
