European Resilience Alliance (ERA) for clean hydrogen and derivatives launched

A coalition of leading European industrial companies, including Fluxys, has launched the European Resilience Alliance (ERA) to accelerate the deployment of clean hydrogen as a cornerstone of Europe’s energy security, industrial competitiveness, and decarbonisation. The CEO-led initiative brings together actors across the entire hydrogen value chain to scale up production, infrastructure, and demand, aiming to reduce dependence on imported fossil fuels while strengthening Europe’s strategic autonomy. Central to the alliance is the recognition that hydrogen can decarbonise hard-to-abate sectors, provide system flexibility, and enable a resilient, domestically anchored energy system. To bridge the gap between ambition and implementation, ERA has published a white paper identifying key barriers and proposing coordinated policy action to unlock investment, build cross-border hydrogen infrastructure, and create viable markets.
