Atawey expands hydrogen mobility in Belgium with new refuelling network

Atawey has signed a multi-million-euro contract with Colruyt Group and Virya Energy to deploy three high-capacity hydrogen refuelling stations in Belgium, reinforcing hydrogen’s role in decarbonising heavy-duty transport and expanding Europe’s clean mobility infrastructure. The stations - dedicated to trucks and high-usage vehicles - will offer a combined distribution capacity of over 7 tonnes per day and are expected to be operational by the end of 2027, supporting the rapid scale-up of hydrogen-powered logistics.
The project also builds on Atawey’s strategic partnership with Technogas, which brings long-standing expertise in gas infrastructure, operations, and maintenance to hydrogen deployments. Together, the two companies provide a turnkey solution combining Atawey’s refuelling technology with Technogas’ services for operation, maintenance, and system reliability - covering the full value chain from design to long-term performance.
