WaterstofNet welcomes a new colleague, Stefan Van Laer.

WaterstofNet welcomes a new colleague, Stefan Van Laer. He will become project manager for the Hydrogen Industry Cluster and will focus on monitoring hydrogen policy and legislation and conducting strategic communication.

Stefan graduated in 2016 as a Master of Laws and subsequently completed a Master's degree in International Relations and Diplomacy at the University of Antwerp. In 2017, he started a series of internships within Belgian diplomacy, such as at the Permanent Representation of Belgium to the United Nations in New York.

In 2020 he started working for the Belgian Steel Industry Association, where he followed up European and Belgian climate and energy policy for two years. In 2021 he followed the Postgraduate Diploma in Climate and Energy at the University of Antwerp.

“As part of my broad interest in climate and energy policy, I increasingly came into contact with hydrogen as an energy carrier of the future. When I was taught by Adwin Martens about hydrogen and the role of WaterstofNet in 2021, I immediately knew that I would like to work for this organization. I am therefore delighted that I will be able to contribute to the hydrogen revolution that awaits us!” says Stefan.

We warmly welcome Stefan to our team!
