Hydrogen VET Forum to train teachers on hydrogen mobility
Vocational education and training (VET) teachers interested in hydrogen technologies in transport are invited to participate in the Hydrogen VET Forum, taking place 8-9 May 2026 at the Spa-Francorchamps circuit in Belgium during the FIA World Endurance Championship. The programme will provide educators with insights into fuel cells, hydrogen combustion engines and safety protocols, while offering opportunities to exchange with industry experts, racing teams and peers working on hydrogen-powered mobility. Participants will also witness live demonstrations of hydrogen racing prototypes and gain practical knowledge to integrate hydrogen topics into their training programmes. The forum includes pre-registration by 23 March 2026, followed by two online preparatory modules in March-April, after which selected participants will attend the two-day in-person training in Spa. Participation and training are free of charge, although attendees must cover their own travel and accommodation, potentially through Erasmus+ mobility funding. The initiative is organised by the Automobile Club de l’Ouest, the FIA World Endurance Championship and MissionH24, together with partners including the Automotive Skills Alliance, GreenSkillsforH2 and Hydrogen Europe Research, with the aim of strengthening hydrogen skills and education for the transition to zero-emission mobility.
