EU–MENA matchmaking event

The MED-GEM Network, in collaboration with the Arab-Belgian-Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce (ABLCC), will organise an EU–MENA B2B matchmaking event during European Hydrogen Week (Tuesday 27/10 & Wednesday 28/10) at Brussels Expo. The event aims to strengthen cooperation between European and Middle Eastern and North African (MENA) stakeholders in renewable hydrogen, renewable energy, energy efficiency and clean technologies. Following an open call that attracted nearly 80 applications, 18 projects were selected to present their investment and partnership opportunities to European companies, investors, financial institutions and public organisations. Several projects are already permitted or under construction, with secured land, grid connections and, in some cases, signed offtake agreements. The programme will feature short project pitches followed by pre-arranged one-to-one meetings, focusing on financing, engineering and EPC partnerships, electrolyser and equipment supply, hydrogen offtake agreements and access to European markets. By connecting mature hydrogen projects with potential European partners, the initiative aims to accelerate project implementation, mobilise investment and support the development of international renewable hydrogen value chains. Participation in the matchmaking sessions is free of charge, while European participants must arrange their own European Hydrogen Week registration.
