Dutch online info session explains new STIHWI or subsidy scheme for renewable hydrogen for industry

An online information session on 13 January 2026 will provide a detailed explanation of the Netherlands’ new subsidy scheme “Stimulering Toename Inzet Hernieuwbare Waterstof in de Industrie” (STIHWI). The session, organised by the Nationaal Waterstof Programma, aims at boosting the use of renewable hydrogen in industrial processes by reducing the cost gap with fossil hydrogen and giving both users and producers greater market certainty. STIHWI is part of a consultation running until 30 January 2026, after which feedback will shape the final subsidy expected to open in early 2027, helping the Netherlands meet EU renewable hydrogen targets in industry.
