Von Karman Institute for Fluid Dynamics

The von Karman Institute for Fluid Dynamics  (VKI) is an international non-profit education and research institution, located in Rhode-Saint-Genèse, specializing in numerical and experimental fluid dynamics. The institute offers postgraduate education and conducts high-tech research within four application domains: aerospace, turbomachinery and propulsion, environment and living environment, and industry and safety. In the field of hydrogen, VKI has experience with liquid hydrogen, for example in cryogenic propulsion systems of missiles. The von Karman Institute for Fluid Dynamics wants to use its knowledge and expertise to support innovation projects in the emerging hydrogen market, especially in applications related to the storage and transport of hydrogen in various phases (gaseous, liquid or slush).
